En el extremo opuesto del formalismo se encuentra la actitud de Katsumi Kurosaki sintetizando superficies rectangulares en áreas uniformes de color texturado dominadas por una innata belleza. (Ramón Almela)

Japanese, born 1953
In Katsumi's painting the landscape is always present but not in a naturalistic way. It is the projection of deep nature on your path. His paintings can be seen as landscapes, each one offers a viewpoint and requests the presence of a human being who delves into it. Synthesizes rectangular surfaces into uniform areas of textured color dominated by innate beauty.
The artist proposes the fusion with the universe to which Motherwell refers and in which Mark Rothko participated in the past with a sensitive geometric style, and today Robert Ryman, Agnes Martin and Sean Scully continue to do so.
In 2013, Katsumi Kurosaki founded the Casa de la Nube Gallery, together with the writer Isolda Dosamantes.
His work has been exhibited individually in México and Canada and he has also participated in multiple group exhibitions in Mexico and Japan.
